Pandora’s repertoire is a collage of the classical, the traditional and the contemporary, and features original works as well as arrangements for mandolin ensemble. Arrangments of classical pieces include works by William Byrd, J.S. Bach, Maurice Ravel, Orlando Respighi, Gustav Holst, and Peter Warlock. Arrangements of more traditional pieces include Percy Grainger’s settings of English folk tunes, and arrangements of Hebrew songs and American spirituals by Rhode Island’s Will Ayton. Tim Ware, Jonathan Jenson, and Jeff Dearinger have also contributed contemporary compositions for mandolin ensemble. |
